wild flora of Crete, the Enagron offers a unique insight into the traditions and farming methods, culture and cuisine of Crete. Situated at an altitude of around 500 m, just above the springs of Mylopotamos, the river that gave its name to the region, is the village of Axos, at the foothills of Mount Psiloritis. The 32 apartments, ranging in size from 35 m2 to 80 m2, are distributed over 12 independent buildings and can accommodate from 2 to 6 people. The apartments are fully furnished and stylishly decorated, equipped with all amenities (central heating, air-conditioning and fireplace) to make your stay comfortable and pleasant throughout the year. The public areas (restaurant – taverna, traditional kafeneio, lounge, bar, and open covered areas) give our guests the possibility to enjoy some company away from their own apartment. It is, however, the natural beauty and the magnificent landscape that will make your stay an unforgettable experience. Guests are welcome to learn cooking techniques and to observe or get involved with the farming and harvesting, or even raki making in season. With farm animals and birds on a living farm for the younger guests and a small playground, it is also an ideal and educational place for families. |

Activities Offered At Enagron Eco Houses
- There are activities all around the year within or outside the farm.
1. Activities that are related to various products and to the seasons of the year, such as the
distillation of raki, wine and olive oil tasting, cheese-making, grape-harvest etc.
2. Cretan diet and nutrition, presentations of the Cretan nutritional model, cooking, baking,
bread baking courses, etc.
3. Hiking, or exploring nature on donkey-back or with mountain bikes.
4. Botanic walks – acquaintance with the approximately forty herbs that grow in the region
and with the wild Cretan flora.
5. Visits of natural or historical monuments of the region, such as Byzantine churches,
antiquities, monasteries, caves, stone huts on Mount Psiloritis etc.
6. Acquaintance with the history, the tradition and the habitants of the region.
