These wonderfully appointed apartments and studios are situated directly on the beach in Stavros, on the north west of the Akrotiri peninsula of Crete, where the Mediterranean meets the Ionian Sea. The scenery here is so spectacular that it was used as the location for filming "Zorba the Greek". Today, the area is still wonderfully unspoiled; an area of natural beauty and tranquility, yet only nine miles from the historical city and Old town of Chania. The well equipped apartments and studios can accommodate 2 to 6 people, and all have private bathrooms, kitchenettes and balconies or terraces with wonderful sea views .The villas and apartments vary in style and location, but all are within two minutes of the beach. Galazzo Paralia Apartments offer a swimming pool with childrens area and a taverna with a bar with a great panoramic view to the beach and to the impressive mountains. There, you can enjoy your breakfast, lunch or dinner and taste a sumptuous selection of home cooked traditional local dishes or just enjoy a drink under the stars watching the sun setting over the bay.The apartments make a perfect destination for quiet family holidays or a romantic holiday for couples. Once a week, Manolis, the owner has a "BBQ" or a "Greek evening" complete with Greek and Cretan music and dancing lessons. You can be learn to dance "syrtaki", "zeibekiko", and other traditional Cretan dances. The apartments have an on site mini shop, where essential items may be purchased, however, just a stroll down the sandy beach will bring you into the village of Stavros, where there are a choice of local shops and tavernas. There are 2 other beach tavernas, only a few minutes walk from the apartments. The real charm of this accommodation is, however, is the friendliness and true Cretan hospitality of Manolis and his staff and the beautiful views. Some of the apartments are also suitable for wheelchair users and there is internet access with pre-paid cards. Car Hire is recommended for this accommodation, but is not essential, with regular bus services to and from Chania. |

The area of Stavrosis a quiet unspoilt costal village on the North west of the Akrotiri Peninsular in the area of
Chania. With a wonderful sandy beach and crystal clear waters, it is no wonder that the area was chosen as
a location for the filming of the film" Zorba the Greek". The village itself, offers a selection of traditional
tavernas, coffee houses and mini marketsand and still retains the feel of the archetypal sleepy Cretan fishing
village.
The village is 25 minutes far from the international airport of Chania and 35 minutes from the port of Souda.
There is a frequent (six times per day) public bus connection with the village from the centre of Chania.
