Situated in a rural position on the outskirts of the traditional village of Stylos, Stylos Cottage has stunning views across the fertile Armenoi plain to the
    coast.
The property is reached via a small road (about 2km) from Stylos village, the upper part being unmetalled. The private garden and patio are ideal for
relaxing in the sun  and out door dining furniture provides an ideal location for enjoying the local produce at sunset. The tinkle of goat bells is never
far away here, and watching the sun set and the clear sky fill with stars is the perfect way to rewind after a day of exploring the nearby Byzantine
churches, sandy beaches and pretty villages of the area.

The cottage has two bedrooms, one with double bed, and the second with two single beds, making it perfect for a family of four. Both bedrooms
    have air conditioning.
The cottage also has a bathroom (with a bath and shower), w/c, and a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and a washing machine in
the utility room. The living room, with wooden beamed ceilings, has a television (local Greek channels), DVD player and WiFi Internet access if you
want to bring your laptop along.
This property is available throughout the year and has central heating and a fireplace for winter visits.
Perfect for those wanting peace and tranquility, but within  access to village tavernas. The area is also perfect for those who enjoy walking.

                                      Area Information for Stilos

Stylos is a charming traditional working village, situated three miles from the sandy beaches at
Kalami and Kalives. The village has several fresh water streams running through it, and large
shady trees, offering a more pleasant temperature during the hottest months. The village has
several tavernas, which in August host the traditional "Panagiri"parties, when the locals gather
to dance to  traditional Cretan music, eat and make merry.
The village has two reasonably well stocked general stores, a butcher and a friendly Kafenion, all
offering fresh local produce.
In mythology, Zeus traveled to Stilos to drink the pure waters from the springs. The well known
"Samaria" brand of bottled water is still produced from the springs in the village. Fresh local
produce is always available in the village shop, kafeneions and tavernas  and sitting under the
vast plane trees next to the springs is one of the great joys of this area, as is the excellent fresh
organic produce used to create the most mouth watering traditional Cretan dishes.
