    Booking Procedure & Payment

    On selection of your chosen property and dates, we strongly suggest that you ensure the availability of suitable
    flights to Herakleion or Xania airport before proceeding with your reservation.

    Your reservation can be made by telephone but must be confirmed by e-mail to info@simplycreteholidays.co.uk or
    by fax to 0030 28410 24102, within 24 hours. Your email or fax confirmation constitutes a contract and acceptance
    of our terms and conditions.

    simplycreteholidays ltd is not a package holiday company. The company does not  supply flights which should be
    booked directly by the traveller. Local services, such as car hire, can be arranged for your convenience but are not provided
    directly by the company and payment should be made to the car hire company or taxi driver directly. Please note that because
    simplycreteholidays ltd is only providing the accommodation element of your  holiday, it is not subject to the provisions of
    The Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992.

    We strongly recommend that your flights, which are not in our remit, are arranged via an ABTA or ATOL registered
    company or agency. We also recommend taking out personal holiday insurance for the duration of your holiday, in case
    of accident or illness.



    Deposits & Payment

    A deposit of 30% of the total price is made at the time of booking. The balance is payable not less than 60 days prior to arrival.
    Payment can be made via bank transfer .Payment by credit card or via PayPal will attract a handling charge of 3.5%.

    Please specify your payment preference when making your reservation.




             Cancellation

    In the event of cancellation more than 30 days prior to your arrival date, the cancellation procedure of the
    accommodation in question will be applied. Deposit is non refundable in all cases. Cancellation of your booking
    within 30 days of your arrival date will incur a 100% cancellation fee.


    Security of Booking

    Your booking with us is made directly with the accommodation and the invoice is normally paid by us before your
    arrival in Crete. This ensures that your accommodation is secured for the duration of your holiday. Our personal
    relationship with all accommodation owners and managers ensures that our customers enjoy more security of
    booking than many other companies can offer, even with full bonding.



    Health & Safety

    Every one of our properties has been personally inspected. Whilst we endeavour to maintain a high standard, some
    of our properties do not enjoy all the facilities which are standard in other European countries. Rental properties are
    required to have a certificate from the Greek Tourist Authority. Swimming pools however may not be depth marked
    and some properties may lack guard rails and other safety precautions. The company can not accept liability for any
    lack of facilities in the properties offered. If you have any major concerns regarding safety during your holiday,
    please contact us and we will do everything possible to respond to your concerns.



    Nuisance, animals and other guests

    Constant change and improvement is a feature of Crete and it is possible that building or other work may be taking
    place in the area near your accommodation, although the majority of this type of work takes place in the winter
    months. If this proves to be beyond our control, we cannot be held liable but will endeavour to find you alternative
    accommodation if necessary.

    In both urban and rural areas, it is not unknown to see a variety of wild animals. This should be accepted as a part of
    visiting Crete.

    We ask our guests to show respect for other guests in their accommodation and expect guests who are not our clients
    to do the same in return. If you experience problems with other guests, please inform the staff at the accommodation
    in the first instance. If the situation is not resolved to your satisfaction, contact us and we will speak to the
    accommodation provider.



    Holiday Representatives

    We do not employ holiday representatives so you should not expect to have someone meet you on arrival at the
    airport, unless you have arranged car hire or airport transfers or have specifically requested it. We will be pleased to
    help you and advise you during your stay but will definitely not be knocking on your door trying to sell you
    excursions or any other "extras". We have a 24 hour help line for any emergencies, but we find that most queries can
    be better answered locally, via the staff at your accommodation. As always, if you do not feel that you are getting
    the service that you expect from the accommodation, please contact us and we will do everything possible to rectify
    the situation. Any issues or problems must be reported in resort, failure to do so relieves the company of any
    subsequent liability.



    Website Descriptions and Photographs

    Descriptions and photographs are accurate to the best of our knowledge. In certain cases it is impossible to take
    individual photographs where a property is part of a larger building. If you are in any doubt about this aspect please
    ask before booking. In certain cases photographs are general photographs of the property and may not be of the
    specific room allocated.
