    This beautiful renovated villa is located in the most unspoiled area of Chania Prefecture, Apokoronas Province, on the road to Sfakia, in the foothills of the
    White Mountains. The house with the olive mill was built in 1912 in Maroudiana neighborhood of Embrosneros Village from stone, wood and clay and it is a
    sample of the traditional architecture of that time. The house was renovated with respect to its original form and use; however, is equipped with all the
    modern amenities for a comfortable stay.

    Olive Mill Villa is built in of a 1000sq.m. garden. On the east side of the house there is a patio perfect for relaxing and the original olive mill, has been
    preserved in is still in place . On the north side of the house there is a  large swimming pool (50sq.m.) with the integral children’s pool and a shaded area
    where the barbecue, a traditional stone oven and a stone table for al fresco dining can be found. On the west side the original  threshing floor is now filled
    with sea sand and is used as a childs play area. Most of the garden boasts a lush lawn, and the house and garden enjoy stunning panoramic views of the
    unspoilt countryside.

    The building consists of two floors and a separate twin-bedded room with WC on the south side of the house. The main section of the ground floor is on
    two levels – the lower level is a sitting room with fireplace, TV and two sofas. The higher level comprises the fully-equipped kitchen and dining area. To the
    left of the main entrance there is also a bathroom and an indoor staircase leads to the first floor. A large open space on the first floor can be used as an
    office or seating area and includes an antique desk and a sofa that may be used as a bed. On this floor there are two twin-bedded rooms and a bathroom.
    Two large verandas, facing east and south, allow a fine view whatever the time of day.
         
    The villa features the following amenities :  Stone oven and outside BBQ area, with full seating/dining facilities, stereo music player, Internet access, TV with
    DVD player, washing machine, Full size refrigerator/ freezer, microwave oven, full size oven and hob, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, Air conditioning,
    fully equipped kitchen.
    This beautiful house offers tranquility and peace in an area of unspoilt natural beauty, and is especially suitable for walkers, nature lovers and families
    wishing for quiet holidays, off the beaten track.
                                                                   Area information

The village of Embrosneros was founded in the 14th century, and nestles, surrounded by oak trees, into a
gentle fold in the green , picturesque foothills of Crete's famous  White Mountains and remains  untouched
by modern day tourism. The area is one of extreme unspoilt natural beauty, offering a perfect base for
walkers and nature enthusiasts, or those wanting to relax and enjoy the tranquility of a traditional Cretan
village.
A stroll into the  village one will find a small Kafenion and a  taverna serving simple Cretan dishes . The area
is well know for the excellent cheeses and dairy products that the local dairy produces. At the edge of the
village stands the renovated Castle of Alithakis, a Turkish Pasha.

The larger village of Vrisses with several tavernas, mini markets, butchers and baker, is a short 7 mins
drive away , and 8km away from the long sandy beaches of Georgioupolis.
