    the extreme Eastern tip of the island offer a tranquil retreat

    its own private terrace. The studios stand in extensive
    colourful gardens, amongst palm trees and olive groves.

    Noted for their hospitality and traditional Cretan "filoxenia", do
    not be surprised if the owners invite you to share a raki with
    them, or bring you fresh eggs from mothers chickens or their own
    locally produced olive oil.

    the surrounding area is ideal for walkers and nature lovers, with
    nearby gorges and Minoan settlements and palaces to explore.
    Some of the most unspoilt coastline and beaches are to be
    found in this area and there is a scattering of tavernas at the
    nearby beach front.
